Taste of south baldwin

for the youth of our community

The Taste of South Baldwin is an annual food tasting event sponsored by the Optimist Club of Foley, Alabama.  Set in a cheerful background of music, silent auction and fun activity, the Taste is a festive occasion at which our patrons may sample delicious cuisine provided by our fine participating restaurants and vendors.  It’s an opportunity for restaurants and patrons to make a connection that lasts well beyond the event, as most patrons of the Taste will go in search of more than a “taste” of the amazing cuisine they sampled at this exciting fall event.

For thirty-six years the Taste of South Baldwin has been the primary fund-raising event, providing the Optimist Club of Foley with funds to support its many youth activities and programs. We sponsor oratorical and essay contests, scholarships, academic and athletic activities for students, respect for law, recognition of teachers, scouting, Christmas for underprivileged children and other community functions.  We are our community’s Friend of Youth.  Everything we do is for the children of our community
